According to some Sims 4 players, the game's most recent update triggered a glitch that won't allow Sims characters to eat food like salad. Honestly, cache clear, which the "repair Game" should do but doesn't seem to always get all of it, fixes about 80-90% of the problems I have encountered over the years since Sims 4 launch.
